You find yourself standing outside coaches's office for a meeting that was scheduled because you find yourself torn between staying on the team or quitting. As you stand there waiting for Coach to become free you hear, "You really should quit the team. It will be the greatest decision of your life." I turned my head to the right to find a mini devil sitting on your left shoulder, smiling at you. Following right after that you hear, "Don't listen to the devil. If you listen to him you will regret the decision for the rest of your life." You turn to see the speaker of those words to be a little angel perched on your right shoulder. You find their staring to be uncomfortable, as they continue to prod you to choose one of them. You sit there and find yourself questioning everything. You don't know what the right decision is. Coach is about to call you into his office when you turn:
[[Left, "Your right Mr. Devil. Quitting the team is in my best interest."|Door Steps of Hell]]
[[Right, "Thanks a lot angel. Your words have saved me from making a grave mistake."|Gates of Heavan]]After quitting the team you find yourself drinking heavily and your grades fall. You overlook these mishaps because your having fun and enjoying the "college experience" that you would not have experienced if you had not quit the track team. One day you find yourself hanging out in your room when you go to get a beer you hear, "Don't go get another one. Your drinking your future away. You still have time to save yourself." The angel has reappeared and revealed its presence once again. Right afterwards, the devil pipes in, "Don't listen to that swine. You only get one chance in your life to enjoy college." You find yourself thinking about the monumental decision you are about to make.
You turn to the angel, [["Thank you for saving my life. It was starting to spiral out of control. Now I can get my life back on track."|Path of Redemption]]
You turn to the devil, [["That angel doesn't get it does he. My life is under control. I can quit drinking anytime I want too. I only have four years to have fun."|Purgatory]]You decided that you couldn't quit track for multiple reasons. You find yourself at meets sometimes thinking about party going on back at the house, but your stuck at the track meet. A little devil pops up, "Hey, its not to late for you to quit the team and enjoy college. Seriously, just tell coach that your done. It's not that hard." Shortly after, the Angel pops up and says, "Stay on the path you are walking on. It will lead to great things in the future. All you have to do is sacrifice the partying."
You turn to the angel, [["Your right. My future will be bright if I stay the path I am on now. If securing my future means I have to sacrifice my weekends, then so be it."|Heavan]]
You turn to the devil, [["Hey man your right. I can only do college once. Its just D3 track and field. It won't mean much in the future anyways."|Hell]]You find yourself laying down on your bed. Your decision to cut back on alcohol and only drinking on the weekends improved your situation greatly. Your grades are vastly improved and you start to consider your future not wanting to waste it away on partying. The angel pops up and says, "You made a tough decision, but one that was correct. You have got your life back on track and under control." The devil pops up and in response to the angels words says, "Your wasting a once in lifetime opportunity of fun here. I hope you don't come to regret it." With this you get up and [[leave|Redemption]] your room. You continue to drink heavily. Your grades have dropped even further. The angel pops up, "You lost all opportunity to walk the path of redemption. No purgatory is where you will reside. You will never see me again after this. Good bye." The devil pops up and says, "Don't worry about that Angel's words man. He full of crap. Look just put back a couple of beers and everything will be just fine." You [[grab a beer|Hell]] and go back to partying.Your life has spiraled out of control. You graduated with a crappy GPA, and you don't have a job lined up. You fear what the future has in store for you because you see your life going nowhere. The devil pops up, "Hey man, don't freak out about the future. Everything will work out in the end." You stand there finding yourself [[thinking|Zoned Out]]Your decision to quit drinking ended up being the best thing you decided. You find yourself graduating with a good enough GPA, and you have a job lined up. You have no clue what the future has in store for you. The angel pops up, "Good job. You found redemption. You escaped from the devil's grasp and found the light." You stand there finding yourself [[thinking|Zoned Out]]"Hey man, I'm ready for you." You snap out of the daze you were in. You look to your left and then your right keeping an eye out for a devil or angel. Nothing. You realize that you zoned out and were in deep thought. You walk into coaches office to make your decision. You find yourself [[thinking|Zoned Out]] that your college career was fantastic. You sacrificed a little bit of the "college experience" to achieve the goals you set out for yourself. You found yourself a job and you have a good idea what the future holds for you. The angel pops up, "Congratulations. You followed my advice perfectly and you find yourself in a great situation. Your hard work payed off."
